-About the conversationalists-
Reina Takeuchi is an Australian-Japanese artist-researcher and dance maker interested in interdisciplinary collaboration and facilitating embodied experiences of contemporary art. Takeuchi explores how sensorial experience can be enhanced through ritualistic performance, interactive installations and time based media.

Iqbal Barkat is a digital artist, filmmaker and a proponent and practitioner of community and participatory arts. His works are often hybrid as they emanate from real settings but include fictional elements and involve the intersection of digital media with other art forms. His most recent project is “Idam” an invocation of place inspired by ancient Tamil poetry. The poems feature as conversations across time, place and medium, between a live singer and visual projection of dance and landscapes.

Ant Banister, Sydney based multi instrumentalist and producer, is the front-man of local post punk outfit Sounds Like Winter. He has many successful acts to his name through playing and creating music with bands such as the Clan Analogue collective, Lunar Module and Def FX.

Lizzy Marshall is a prolific Sydney based curator, educator and writer. She was recently the exhibition manager for Carnivale Catastrophe, produced by Modern Art Projects Blue Mountains and presented at the Cementa Festival 2022. The exhibition provided a catalyst for conversations where voices in the 2019/2020 bushfire affected communities are able to share their experiences.
