Window-Spot. 2022
.
Foil and film spots, Dimensions variable.
I like a spot by the window. Looking out onto the wonders of Parramatta Rd and beyond. I have worked with this location recently. The work, Habitat 497 (April 2022)played with imagined past views of trees and sky on Taverners Hill with drawings on window and tracing paper which fluttered in the breeze. In this new work I play with the real view.
My work usually take the form of sculpture and installation and occasionally, performance. I enjoy making low tech objects and playing with perception and space. I make work in response to its location and ideas around environmental survival. Recent work has focused on bird life, global flyaways and habitats. I have been engaged in Art and Environmental activism and Curating since 2009. Initiated the Williams River Valley Artist Project (WRVAP) 2009-2017. http://williamsrivervalley.blogspot.com.au . More recently, co- curated (with Noelene Lucas) numerous projects at Articulate.
