Installation with Video projection, Origami, and Organza (Dimension variable)

This work explores the paradoxical relationship between intimacy and communication. The moments when words are rendered dust with someone we love. The unimaginable furthest distance with people closest to your heart becomes a gnawing pain of psychological suffocation and solitude. This work transforms the transience of pain into the materialisation of 200 origami. An envelopment of the hopes and wishes in response to and inspired by my mother's letters.

Artist profile

I am a student studying Fine Arts at UNSW. On paper I major in painting and sculpture but my creative practice spans across anything that draws my interest at the moment. Currently it steers towards the unseen and unspoken where the deeper layers of humanity lies.
