(Shadow Chairs with Mirror and Cover; Remains Chair and Slippers; Ghost Chair)

During covid I returned to drawing as I could not access the places and spaces. Discovered a love of charcoal / primal drawing and started researching where the photographic image's legacy ends and becomes 'something else' in the drawing through photography. I make work when I can with what materials and spaces I can access. These works continue on from the death of my mother Eleanor and from my photographic works “Portrait without a Face” (Head on Photography) in the time of covid, so online show only (based on analogue pinhole photographic images). The works consider loss and beginnings exploring drawing and drawing beyond photography and these are a few of two paths of research.
