Patricia Wilson-Adams

I am concerned with the challenges that take printmaking towards a synthesis, combining word, image and the sculptural. The text elements provide entry points into ways of thinking, while formally the works are held together by the restraint of the grid and a limited use of colour and materials.
I work towards poetic and metaphoric connections with land, land usage, cultural landscapes and the environment. This body of work aims to give voice to a certain solastalgia where one realises a profound sense of loss - personal losses - loss of land, landscapes and place.
