This Painting is a tribute to the Factory 49 gallery Space in Paris, (10 bis rue de Chalingy), where I was privileged to have a solo show in 2020. Unfortunately due to Covid the gallery closed after I left. This work is based on a series of line drawings of the elevations of the gallery space, and also a small to scale model sculpture I made in 2020 during my stay. This painting is therefore the third work that describes the simple elegance of the gallery space.

Artist profile

I am a Sydney based artist with a MFA from the National Art School in Sydney and a degree in Architecture from the University of Sydney. I am interested in the interface between art and architecture and how these two disciplines reflect the way we construct and occupy space.
