 Textile, variable size, 2024

These textile landscapes aim to mimic patchwork patterns as seen from a bird’s eye view. I have repurposed old sheets, clothes and scraps and some fabrics I have dyed and printed myself using screen prints, lino cuts and dyes. The fabric is joined in a random placement without a predetermined plan. This imperfect, accidental and unpredictable quality of the work is celebrated. There is no one fixed way of hanging them so they create their own presence and personality when displayed.

Artist profile

I am currently in third year of B. Fine Arts at National Art School majoring in printmaking. I have a long interest in textile art, mixed media work and painting. My process often involves layering of images and materials. Colour, texture and shape are important components of my work.
