Foregrounding process is the essence of my arts practice. To reveal and work in a public space into the unfinished is to expose my vulnerability. At the same time, it is the place where further development of my current practice led research into spaces of confluence and connectivity can incubate, not in isolation, but in a framework of relational aesthetics.

The intention for this project is to exhibit 8 ‘unresolved’ paintings and at allocated times within the gallery, continue to work with the current broad themes of my work that consider how water and humans interact. I will also invite viewers to contribute to the body of work by considering their own experiences with bodies of water.

Artist profile

I live and work on Wangal land. My method of creative enquiry integrates art at times within the therapeutic context, textiles, experiential and the temporal. My arts practice navigates my understanding and experience of materiality, the spatial, and the temporal—mining the very notion of interdependence and the somatic, both as an artist and an art therapist.
