Citizen weaves light and movement with poetry and lyricism to bring words to life

Taken from a 2017 series, these works each accompanied a song from the album "wreck creation" by the band Spectacles, of which Hamish was the lead guitarist and additional vocalist.
A warning of times to come and a reflection on the weaponized society in which we live, Citizen is a comment on innocence lost and a quiet acceptance of the violence perpetuated by media outlets to further political agendas and keep us numb to a universal truth.

Hamish Brown is a Sydney-based artist of multiple disciplines
From visual art/design and sculpture to music and poetry "old mate hamb" has exhibited at and performed across a wide range of venues from prestigious gallery spaces to warehouses and walls of the inner west.
A jack of all trades and master of none, Hamish has worked closely with Boomalli as an Installer for the past decade and is currently working on an EP with accompanying artworks exploring the pitfalls of addiction, love, loss and catharsis.
