The Boobs are dancing is a celebratory exhibition by women artists. In our work we challenge traditional social roles through innovative approaches to materials and to the spaces they occupy. The show is a knees –up, a can -can of possibilities. We play with the F word and deflate inequality with joy
The Boobs are dancing is a celebratory exhibition by women artists. In our work we challenge traditional social roles through innovative approaches to materials and to the spaces they occupy. The show is a knees –up, a can -can of possibilities. We play with the F word and deflate inequality with joy.

The exhibition will occupy the entire ground floor including the small Back Room. The works will include sculptural objects, wall pieces including painting, drawing , fabric assemblages as well as suspended pieces. We have performance pieces by Juundal Strang-Yettica. In addition there are planned video works. The aim is to immerse viewers in a vibrant celebration of women and their work.

The exhibition privileges no particular version of feminism but instead embraces all thought on feminism as an idea and recognise its close connection to gender studies.Women in this view are seen as those who identify as women and includes women as one of their possible identities or as part of a fluid gender identity.
