Two stark white bottles – one tall and slim, one short and wide, one red top, and one gold top– stand side by side as an odd couple. Magnetically attached, they appear to ‘hover’ in front of an equally stark white wall.

Over the years of showing at Articulate, I find myself choosing objects that are functional and recognisable and potentially belong to the space. I create a slight shift in their placement that so they merge with the surrounding architecture in such a way that disconnects them from their familiar reading. www.suecallanan.com
