I have long been interested in translating and abstracting the details supplied by digital images; in this instance an accidental photo of the ground at my feet revealed a miniature universe that would normally have gone unnoticed by myself. The beauty and simplicity of this somewhat banal photograph inspired a series of drawings of this small patch of ground - a micro universe - framed by the camera.

Artist profile

I have been a practising artist for many years and have exhibited my work both in Australia and overseas. My art practice covers a diverse field of interest – object sculpture, drawing, film, and multi-media installations that incorporate sculpture, sound and video.
