Cantilever is the noticeable structure at UTS on Broadway. This starting point for a work is typical of the urban aesthetic that catches my attention. It contains not only an abstracted record of the architecture but intends to delve into ones peripheral memories as the viewer ponders this unregarded landmark.

Artist profile

I make paintings and objects in response to the observations I have of the urban/industrial landscape. I explore the structural and poetic possibilities it presents but importantly has a relatable reference to a lifetime of living in and sharing this environment and the socioeconomic experience of my upbringing.
