Purple Beauty is typical of Anya Pesce's work which is both painting and sculpture. The material is both fluid and rigid with folds that mimic fabric and reference body.

Artist profile

I am an Australian born , Sydney based artist with an interest in contemporary painting and sculpture. I completed a Masters at National Art School in 2017 and am represented by M Contemporary Gallery, Sydney and Penny Contemporary, Tasmania. I make each piece by hand in an industrial factory and am stimulated by the material and process. My focus is on 'surface' as a concept , both a visual and visceral quality which intends to arouse sensation and perception in the viewer.
