This work combines a woven, multi-coloured textile, with a limited palette of transparent colour, to produce a complex, layered painting, reliant on found colour. The work addresses an expanded form of abstract painting and consists of a flat painting on textile.

Artist profile

I use found materials, such as industrial textiles, fabric swatches, printed papers and urban refuse, to construct paintings, sculptures, books and videos. I use collage, imprint and impression, to reconfigure deteriorated and worn materials to underscore their tactility, affect and haptic sensibility. I am interested in issues of culture and history, archaeology and architecture. I seek questions around ideas of painting, textiles and modern abstraction.
