 Body as sac

.

Bio-silicone, 3d printed PLA (plastic), fish bowl, fishing line, chopsticks, petri dishes. Fish bowl: 22x22cm; tablet device: 25cm x 20; petri dish stand: 38cm x 28cm. 2025.

Body as sac (2025) explores posthuman feminism ideas via bio-silicone abstractions of the materiality of the virtual body suspended within the male gaze (fishbowl) 'sac' and as medical samples' matter. This work is influenced by the books: 'Bodies of Water' by Dr. Astrida Niemanis and 'Material Feminisms' edited by Stacy Alaimo and Susan Hekman.
