Natural Materials such as soil, coconut fibre, cellulose, moss, and seeds, 3 cases of 30 x 30 x 30 or a table, 2025

Reminiscences/ living objects is a series of objects which are inspired by fancy China tableware. They are made from soil, coconut fibre, cellulose, moss, and seeds. The idea is that over time, these objects will be consumed by the forces of nature until they are transformed into a living landscape.
As the title of the project implies, the purpose is to illustrate how we attach memories, experiences, and meanings to items we stored in cabinets awaiting re-discovery. We keep them as preciously as if they make our existence more valuable; we live in a constant cycle of objects.
These sculptures serve as a metaphor for the transient nature of our possessions and the inevitability of change. By using natural materials, the project emphasizes the connection between human experiences and the environment, highlighting the beauty of impermanence and the cyclical nature of life.
