UP explores the spatial and sensory experience of looking skyward through the towering eucalyptus canopy. Filmed in the ancient landscape of the Blue Mountains’ Murphys Glen, the work is in constant motion, a spiralling gaze that never settles.
The iPhone’s lens traces a continuous orbit beneath the blue gums, some soaring over 70 meters, spinning at shifting speeds. A vortex of sky and leaves unfolds, where perspective is both fixed and slipping. UP lingers in the tension where gravity is felt but falters, where the act of seeing becomes its own momentum.
