My work is material-driven. I focus on the development of artworks made of material I find, is donated or is being used in abundance in our daily life. My latest passion are the nets we buy vegetables in. It’s always made of plastic and mostly of a plastic that dissolves easily. Definitely not healthy but fun to work with.
Elke Wohlfahrt is a German-Australian sculptor with degrees in Sculpture, Installation, Performance and Painting from Tafe and University of Sydney (Sydney College of the Arts).
