Canary Island Date Palm - This tree show's some of Marrickville's many Ibis's getting ready for the nesting season. Growing out from the middle of this tree is parasitic Moreton Bay Fig which would have come from a bird feeding on some figs then pooping on the tree. If left alone the fig tree will eventually take over killing the palm.
