The printed shapes form a suite, a landscape language, repeated in different combinations to form a journey along and across the pianola rolls.

Artist profile

Ro Murray is trans-disciplined artist, whose art practice is influenced by her former career in architecture, and later attending the National Art School as a mature age student majoring in sculpture.
Since 2018 Ro's practice has focussed on relief printmaking which has transitioned from non objective to abstract landscape since the pandemic.
Ro is also part of the creative partnership Murray and Burgess, who make installations concerned about the environment, using recycled materials.
Ro has staged many solo exhibitions and been selected for many art prizes and awards. This year she will take part in Sydney Contemporary and Canberra Art Prize.
