My Imagery Cosmos is a Series originally exhibited at Factory 49 in 2007 Then the Series was extended to several more works to exhibit in Sydney University Tin Sheds the Factory 49 Group show. “Circles and Squares” In 2011. The Imaginary Cosmos Series also was exhibited in Melbourne at Brightspace Gallery. In 2007. The series was made up of initially 10 works of each being a different primary colour alongside 10 smaller works.
Catalogue for “Circle and Squares’ is available for viewing.
Corrugated cardboard was a chance discovery as a friend handed me a roll she had left over. So often this happens and accidentally starts a new series of unplanned work. The action of cutting the cardboard then winding it into a circle also crossed over to other works where I used different materials to wind around.

Artist profile

Whilst intuitively using found objects and mass produced materials it came from this idea of a certain cultural view : everyday life, my surroundings, my environment : almost an ethnological view. By transforming and manipulating industrial/found objects breaks the conventional system of classification. Using a minimal and reductive aesthetic, experimentation is an essential element in my process. It is important to show the unaltered state as far possible Allowing the material to speak for itself.
