 The Milk Bottle

.

 Mixed media, 28x14cm and 22x8cm, 2023-2024

This collection of 2D mixed media works of the everyday milk bottle resembles a powerful commentary of the stereotyping and moulding of human identities. Just as milk bottles are produced to conform to specific shapes and sizes for a particular purpose, this series reflects on the societal pressures that shape individuals, dictating roles and expectations based on predefined norms. Each piece, crafted to the real size of milk bottles, engages in a silent yet poignant dialogue, mirroring the uniformity imposed on human lives. Through this unique juxtaposition, the artist invites viewers to reconsider the ways in which people are categorized and constrained, urging a reflection on the diversity and complexity of individual identities beyond the superficial labels assigned by society.
