 Performance, clay. Variable duration, variable dimensions, 2024 


The destination is unknown. The methodical rolling of clay is the warm-up for the next move. As the coils start to form, small suggestions of placement murmur. An end meets a beginning. A trail informs potential. An error births a new path.
This performance work uses clay coil building to demonstrate the moment-by-moment decision making process that takes place in my own experimental art practice.

Artist profile

Paraskevy Begetis is a Sydney based artist. Her work emerges through material exploration and experimentation. She creates visual pieces to translate human experiences, making invisible sensations into visible representations. At the core of her work is a reminder that we are not alone in our experiences.
