 History. Power. Misogyny.

.

Collage, mixed media and digital prints on cotton rag. Dimensions variable. 2023-2025

This body of work illustrates history, power, misogyny and the threat to democracy this century. As an artist I feel an imperative to speak out and preserve creativity on behalf of those who are silenced and for the future of art and culture.

Artist profile

After graduating in fine Arts I taught Art in public High Schools and am currently based and practising art in Bellingen.
I am involved in local art community organisations and have exhibited in Berlin, New England Regional Museum, Sydney and have annual exhibitions at RED gallery, North Fitzroy.
My work reflects the issues we all as humans beings are facing today, especially women and girls, relating to the geopolitical landscape. I use a variety of materials in my work charcoal and oil painting for larger work and in this series photomontage using collage, my photos, text and analogue and digital drawing.
