BLOOD, 2022
.
H 75cm x W 60cm. Mixed media on paper - ink, cloth, gauge, tissue paper
Blood is symbolic with pain, suffering and life and is also associated with birth and fertility which is often portrayed as taboo, unhygienic and shameful.
In a time of constant change and upheaval women’s rights are being diminished, violence increasing.
As a woman and an artist I want to give meaning to these issues so we can contemplate on the relationships we have and the kind of society we want to be part of.

I studied Fine Arts at the university of Sydney and am currently a practising artist in rural NSW.
I work in oil paint, mixed media and charcoal and have exhibited in Berlin, New England Regional Art Museum, Gallery Lane Cove and RED gallery, Melbourne.
I believe Art reflects our culture and my works frequently reflect on current geopolitical issues.
