When she left us
.
Porcelain, stain, wood chair, plaster, dimensions variable, 2023
When she left us is part of a larger investigation into memory, the trace and relationships between people and objects. Through my creative practice, I seek to evoke forgotten moments, bittersweet recollections and a longing for the past. By delving into the interplay between sensory perception, memory, and imagination, my work aims to bridge the past and the present. Inviting viewers to engage with their own personal narratives, reflection, introspection, and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of forgotten memories.
I am currently completing a MFA from NAS, my work uses porcelain and paper to trigger lost narratives and fading memories. I am fascinated by the relationship between humans and objects and how we can imbue the most humble, inalienable object with emotion, meaning and significance.
