Ro Murray

This work was part of series of Lino prints developed from the colour percussion poems of the American Robert Lax. My palette expanded from my colours of protest, red and black, to include primary colours of blue and yellow, and secondary colours orange and green. The prints are calligraphic constructions, reminiscent of oriental script and architectural structures. Each strip of colour is place onto the paper, and the composition built up one piece at a time.
