Latent :- hidden or concealed, existing but not yet developed or manifest :-
initially at first glance the series of suspended paper panels appear blank , but with further observation the embossed text catches the viewers eye & subtlety transforms the surface, imprinting both a sense of retained memory , resolve , and the suggestion of possibility.

Artist profile

Angharad Evans graduated with an MA in Fine Art from Leeds UK way back in 2000. She has been teaching Art / Design for the last 26yrs between UK, Europe ¤ntly based in Sydney. Re- establishing (after a brief hiatus) her artistic practice she explores materiality and process, addressing nuances, connections, disconnect, contradictions, and abstraction drawn from societal observations, personal experience and lived landscapes. Her diverse practice encompasses sculpture, installation, drawing, painting, printmaking, fibre, photography, and text.
